  14. How would you know …
How would you know they didn’t pay for these interviews?

Don’t just make assumptions so that you can sound morally upright and self righteous. Organizations like the BBC follow a strict code of ethics. Just like any academic researcher does.

You think he just wanted into a house randomly? A manager/producer approaches these families through a local mediator and fixes up a schedule. To be there right when they are cooking. So they are paid in advance too.

  15. I really agree. …
I really agree. calling him a “greedy pig” is so unkind. we really do not know what happened. you see, I do not admire personalities who show off that they are helping the poor…

and one more thing… those journalists go there not to be Jesus Christ, but to report what is really happening in that place.

  16. these kind of …
these kind of families with many kids live for less than a dollar everyday. i see many blessings including food is taken for granted in wealthy countries, while so many people die in other parts of the world. it really breaks my heart.

    I was wondering …
I was wondering what the food tastes like, but seeing their situation, I wouldn’t have dared to ask to try some! I hope they gave the family some reimbursement… considering how much money they earned the producers, or whoever makes these shows (not that I’m helping at all by watching it on YouTube XD).

  18. If BBC exploits …
If BBC exploits these people for its programs, the least it could do is pay them what other *guests* of their shows receive. What? Because they’re rural, poor and Afghani? PAY THEM FOR EVERY INTERVIEW and solve their problems. Hypocrites sucking the life out of them even more.

I agree, I am reading about journalists in Iraq & Afghanistan and most do what they can to help out if they visit a family, like giving a bit of money or food…and it’s not like he ate their whole meal, you know.

  25. >.> You did not …
    >.> You did not comprehend what I was saying. I was saying that the as we all know, the staff must know that the family is also starving. Do you think they will be filming random people and taking their food? You shouldn’t just blame the guy for what you only see on screen…
