when the Kentucky man started off did he go to the chock growers take all the dead chocks?

pump them full of salt &water msg put them in vats to soak for a 3 week period i read this story in a magazine he paid a small amount of money or got them free does any one know if its true ido belive this

    whats a chock? and you make buying them dead sound like a bad thing. I definately like my chocks to be well dead before i grease them.
