Wow! They turned out amazing! And to think I was going to spend more money on cheaper, less healthy granola bars. I amazingly found all the ingredients in my pantry along with the flax seeds (I didn’t know what they were actually, lol). I made mine with some Great Grains Cereal, raisins, dried cranberries, pecans with honey and regular peanut butter and some vanilla and cinnamon for an extra kick of flavor! Yummy!

lol i used apple sause as the glue stuff. i used too much, but from learning…i now use about a tablespoon apple sause, 3 tbs peanutbutter, and some honey and i mix it with my hands in all the dry stuff. pretty messy but they turn out almost like really crispy chinky DELISHIOUS granola! theyre extremely healthy if you use all organic and low fat versions of things. im into low cal stuff so i try to keep them low in calories and they turn out good! they kinda fall appart but oh well

    HI there!

You can definitely use a molasses-syrup combination; that would be great!

I am ahuge fan of oatmeal, but I don’t think it would work well here. You need to use a cereals that is crisp and light (and also precooked, as the puffed wheat is).

Hi Camillacooks! I made this recipe but had to improvise a lot…i ran out of honey so i used agave nectar, ran outta that and used sorghum…finally i had the 1/2 cup of syrup! Then I put two scoops of vegan protein powder and 2tbs flax seed oil in with the wet ingredients. That way, i added about 50g protein and lots of omega-3’s. I also used natural pb and slivered almonds…mmmmmm. Also whole flax seeds worked excellently (all i had in the cupboard). GREAT recipe 5 stars! Thanks bunches!
