Chris, you are the man! I have extract brewed 7 times and wanted more of a challenge. Watched your 8 part videos twice over. Used what I had seen on your vids to get a basic knowledge. Then spent hours researching and compiling info on A.G. Got the cooler mash tun. Though I have to say, you and I need to upgrade to stainless steel mash tuns. i showed my friend and he is worried about heating the plastic over time will leach certain chemicals into the beer. Any thoughts on that. Thanks again!!!!

You can add float small amount of bagged Aroma Hops in the Secondary to improve both aroma and flavor. That’s called Dry Hopping.

    Great job man. Looks tasty!
Why dont you attach a cordless drill to the handle shaft of your grain mill?
    Its perfectly easy and safe.

  12. Siphon the Batch – …
Siphon the Batch – into a sanitized secondary – to lift Brewing Wort off the gunk at the Bottom. The lower Traub includes spent grains and proteins that can cause OFF flavors in your Beer the longer they sit. If a Prinary Fermenter has a Cone and Valve bottom, the gunk can be drawn off the bottom, leaving the Wort in the same tank to continue fermenting. if Racking from the Top,do it slow enough not to disturb the gunky bottom.

What is the purpose of the 2nd fermentor, do you add anything when you do it or just rack it? And when do you it. Also, your videos are very well done and to the point, you know your shit. Maybe one day I’ll grow some nuts and go all grain, and quit suckling the malt extract teet.
