@tinman842 it would be easier to build a ship on the moon with gravity, true. but at the cost of additional fuel to launch. fuel to launch back out of the moons gravity well would have a very significant non-liner effect for long flights, i.e., 1 pound more fuel causes, maybe 100 pounds less gear for long duration flights. however, both mission scenarios were (suspended by prez.) being evaluated by NASA
