Cattle industry continues to threaten rainforest – 09 May 08
Brazil’s president Lula De Silva has announced a development plan meant to protect vital rainforests in the Amazon region, while allowing farmers and ranchers to make a living.
Last year Brazil’s government warned the rainforests were being cut down at a greater rate than ever before, mainly to develop the land as pasture for cattle.

Notice something? The area surrounding the cattle fences has no usage, vacant and dull. It can be planted with trees and plants, an alternative revenue for fruits and vegetables and the trees can beautify the surroundings. Why they totally wiped out the trees were it is important maintaining productions and beautification?

i went to a protest …
i went to a protest about the rainforest in front a branch of macdonalds cuz they supposed to clear rainforest to raise cattle. the group i was with moved on to liberating animals that were goingt o be used for experiments. i’ m all for animal rights but the activists are way too extreme for me. i really dont wont to get arrested for rescuing a few turkeys especially wen i eat them for xmas.
