Two suspects were killed, and 15 people were injured, including 10 policemen. None of the injuries incurred during the hour-long shootout was “life threatening,
” Los Angeles Police Chief Willie Williams said.
Although only the suspects were killed, the sheer number of injuries made this one of the bloodiest single cases of violent crime in the 1990s, and one of the most significant single bank robberies of the 20th century.

The gun in the actual crime scene photos has a drum. You actually think that they are going to show the real footage of him getting shot and falling ( if there even is any )? …I doubt it, but maybe. That still does nothing to rectify the issue with the gun.

@slump75 My personal theory until proven otherwise, was that he was attempting to reload his weapon as a police bullet severed his spine, his body armor would have slowed the velocity of the bullet, allowing for slight reaction between the sever, and penetration. I believe that as a result of the police bullet, his involuntary reflex action was to tense, and squeeze, which unfortunate for him, his finger was on the trigger, right under his chin. He may have intended to shoot himself either way.

@deans121 Just because he was shot 29 times, does not mean the gunman was not a threat. He was alive, and still armed with his 9mm handgun, and his machine gun was still within reach, all he had to do was pick it back up when SWAT removed themselves from cover. Cop’s had every right to do what they did, and they did so to maintain public safety.

@RebelGuy95 They had several different weapons in the back of the trunk of the getaway car, or perhaps, after he ran out of his drum, he reloaded with the 30 round box mag. A number of possibilities, but this was definitely real, I lived in north hollywood at the time, and can verify the damage done to the area, as well as following the story as I watched it on T.V when it occurred.

@nikkikrisadtyo Standard rule of first aid, is not to move a body unless absolutely necessary to avoid possible further damage. The man was injured, but apparently not to the point where police deemed necessary to move him in an emergency maneuver outside of the hot zone.
