Hundreds of acres of wheat killed in hailstorm

After a long stretch of rain mixed with sprints of sunshine wheat farmers in the Hartline area were hit with a heavy hail storm which wiped out roads and hundreds of acres of wheat fields. KXLY4’s Tori Brunetti reports.

Cattle industry continues to threaten rainforest – 09 May 08

Brazil’s president Lula De Silva has announced a development plan meant to protect vital rainforests in the Amazon region, while allowing farmers and ranchers to make a living.
Last year Brazil’s government warned the rainforests were being cut down at a greater rate than ever before, mainly to develop the land as pasture for cattle.

SBI sets base rate at 7.5%: What this means for investors
