I have a recipe for a whole-wheat baking mix that uses a Crisco type shortening but I am searching for a healthier recipe using vegetable oil. This recipe would be used much like Bisquick for making muffins, pancakes and quick breads.

For muffins, pancakes, and quick breads oil would usually be used anyway, so it should work fine. Shortening would be better for things like biscuits and pie crusts that are flaky.

For more alcohol content, the grapes aren’t pressed as early as low alcohol wine grapes. It all to do with the sugar content of the fruit.The grower of grapes for wine is called a vigneron, the person who sells it is a vintner.

Food crisis has me wondering—how many more people could be fed by eating the corn that goes into raising a head of cattle than by eating the meat?

Cows don’t eat only corn. The bulk of their diet consists of food we can’t eat. I think the figure is around 8-14 pounds of silage(fermented complete grain plant), hay, grass, forage and grain per pound of beef. Dairy cows are typically slaughtered at age 5-7 and other cows slaughtered around age 2-3. Weight is usually around 800-1200 lbs at slaughter and only about 40% of it actually turns into edible meat. They also require a ton of water for feeding, cleaning and processing.

With the global rise in food prices I think going vegetarian is a very logical choice to make. Farms used to grow cattle feed can be used to grow people feed. We can also adopt sustainable farming practices to ensure we don’t poison the land for future generations.

The city life and rural life of Greece. I’ve looked at a couple of places, but I can’t seem to find the right answer.

City life is the same as in Italy or France. Greece hasn’t big cities except Athens *half of the Greek population is concentrated there* and Salonica*about 1.500.000 citizens. Then Patra, Larissa, Heracleon are the biggest Greek cities. So you can imagine how life can be there.
Small places can be isolated with limited variety of services, especially if you are a single. Life goes on well and people uses technological achievements in their works and everyday life but no great shopping, restaurants and cinema.
Driving there can be difficult sometimes because Greece is a mountainous country.

I had to deliver my first baby @ 34 wks on hospital bedrest. How likely will I have to do this again with my second pregancy? Also since I delivered a healthy baby the first time, is there a chance I’ll miscarry this time or will I likely have another healthy pregnancy?

With my first, my son was born 3 weeks early. With my second, I went 2 days over my due date and then begged for an induction.
Every pregnancy is different, unless there is a problem with you physically that caused your first to be born early, for example if you have an incompetent cervix.
There is always a chance for miscarriage, but again, unless you have some physical problem that makes you prone to miscarriage, the chance for miscarrying isn’t any greater this time than any other time.
It’s normal to freak out and stress! Just remember every pregnancy is different, and take good care of yourself. That’s all you can do.

i was wondering can you put any amount of money in your bank or does it have to be round numbers i.e can i go into the bank and give them say £57 and ask them to put it in my account?

You can pay any amount of money into any bank account.

I’ve worked for a fair number of the major UK banks and I’ve not come across any limit yet.

The only time this may differ is if you are paying into a savings account, as some of them may have limits imposed on what you can pay in, I’d ask before you open the account to be sure though.
